Last month at Studio Eleven43, we pushed the boundaries of virtual production with a dynamic project that combined live action and virtual spectacle. The concept? Two fighters going head-to-head in a cinematic faceoff, backed by a roaring virtual crowd projected across our massive LED wall. The result? A seamless, high-energy sequence that felt like a sold-out arena fight night—without ever leaving the studio.
The shoot took place on our premier Infiled 2.6mm LED wall, measuring 27 feet wide by 12 feet tall. Our team worked closely with the client to design and animate a custom virtual stadium filled with thousands of cheering fans. The crowd wasn’t static—we used Unreal Engine to create dynamic loops of movement, reactions, and lighting cues that synced with the fighters’ choreography. As punches flew, the audience surged, lights flashed, and the atmosphere exploded with tension and excitement.
Our production team choreographed the fight in real-time, using a blend of live-action blocking and camera tracking to capture everything from close-ups to wide hero shots. Every angle was enhanced by the LED backdrop, giving depth and scale to the scene that would be impossible on a traditional soundstage. The LED wall responded to lighting changes naturally, and with gen-lock and timecode sync, we captured high-fidelity footage without the need for post-production compositing.
One of the standout moments came when we pulled off a dramatic camera sweep from behind one fighter’s shoulder, revealing the entire crowd rising to their feet behind him. Viewers didn’t just see the action—they felt it.
