Live Nation’s When We Were Young Festival popped into Studio A at our Studio Eleven43 in October. The festival’s merchandise photos for web and onsite were shot here. The promo came to life perfectly, with the spray-painted cyc and school lockers added to the mix.
Under the art direction of the production company Need Pastel and Ugly Primo, our studio served as the perfect space for this project. Using unique casting for their models, the team at Need Pastel was able to add visual depth and personality to the merch drop.
The original When We Were Young festival took place at The Observatory in Santa Ana, California in 2017.
In 2022, the festival relocated to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. The single-day event headlined by My Chemical Romance and Paramore was so popular tickets quickly sold out and this prompted the addition of second and third dates.
Following a leaked lineup, all artists officially confirmed the 2024 lineup featuring headliners Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance. Staying true innovation, the festival brand decided that in 2024 the majority of the performing bands are slated to deliver sets comprising the complete performance of one of their albums, a departure from previous years.
